Colorado Texting Article

Ian Cervany wrote an interesting article on Colorado's new law. The law thats states anyone texting in a car while driving will receive a ticket of $50 was put into effect on December 1, 2009. I do believe that texting should be illegal while texting however, I don't see how texting is that any different than working GPS systems, adjusting intricate music and/or climate control panels, working DVD players and televisions, eating fast food or comforting a crying baby while driving. I agree with Rep. Sal Pace, D-Pueblo who says. "I don't condone texting while driving, I just don't think we should legislate every single activity."

Cyberbullying Prevention for 4th Graders

Cyberbullying or bullying people through phones or internet is not ok. The following are ways to prevent or stop cyberbullying.

  • Teach kids about the effects and consequences of it.
  • Teach them to respect others and to take a stand against bullying of all kinds.
  • Don't be apart of it and tell a parent or teacher if you or a friend is being cyberbullied.

Project That I Learned From

During my first semester of High School i am taking a computers class. The class curriculum has held a variety of things i already knew and things that i had no clue how to do and no understand. My favorite project we did in this class was the spreadsheet work in Microsoft Excel. Although i did not like doing the work, I really learned a lot. I did not use spreadsheet very often and only knew the bare basics until this project. I now understand how to use formulas in the spreadsheet so the program does all the math for me. I am very thankful for the project we did in computer class because I learned so much and can now use spreadsheet on my own for budgets and other useful things. :)
