December Reflection

December is not only my all time favorite month of the year but also my favorite time in computers class. I did a project in File Maker Pro that was very interesting. I had to pick 20 songs and then 8 facts about them. I had a lot of sun with this because I had to be creative to think of all the different songs and to think of the 8 facts to find out about the song. File Maker Pro is definitely an awesome innovation. I used research fluency and information fluency to find the information I need. I had to use decision making in order to pick the songs and decide which information on the internet to use. I really liked doing tis project in my computers class.

I learned how to use File Maker Pro in a much more efficient way. I also learned a lot more about some of my favorite songs. I am proud of the whole project but I am most proud of my use of color to make the database unique to me. When the project was finally completed i was very happy with the end result.

October Reflection

In the month of October my class did many interesting projects. My favorite was the Spanish speaking trip that we did on Animoto. I used decision making, problem solving, critical thinking, research and information fluency. It took critical thinking and decision making to pick the places I would go, not over doing my budget and much more. While doing this activity I had to problem solve a lot because finding all the information and not going over my budget was kinda hard. Finding the hotels, picking the flights, and finding information out about the countries took a lot of research and information fluency.

I learned about new countries and their cultures through out the duration of this project. I was most proud of my commercial for the trip. I found great pictures and it went together very well. There were some downfalls to my project but in the end I was happy with the way it turned out.

August - September Reflection

In my computer class we did several projects in the months of August and September. My favorite was the Google Sketch Up project that we picked subjects for. I created a 3D image of an iPod and a docking station for it. I enjoyed it because I got to pick the topic of my project and it was somewhat challenging. I used creativity, problem solving, and decision making in this project by deciding what to do and carrying it out, and by also overcoming the challenges I encountered. I really enjoyed building my iPod and docking models in Google Sketch Up.

Creating the models was not only fun but taught me a lot. For starters, I learned how to use the program. I also learned how to create wonderful 3D images. Although I am proud of the whole thing, I'm most proud of how much detail I was able to put into the components. All in all I am very proud and happy of my project's end result.
